Bretta Gerecke - Production Designer
Bretta grew up in Winnipeg and has resided in Edmonton for the past eighteen years. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Interior Design in 1992, and from the University of Alberta with a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design in 1996. Bretta is the resident designer at Catalyst Theatre, where she has designed world premieres, which have toured internationally to Great Britain, Australia, and the U.S. and across Canada. Bretta also works at The Citadel Theatre, Canadian Stage, Workshop West Theatre, Edmonton Opera, Calgary Opera,, Theatre Calgary and The Globe Theatre.  She is the recipient of over twenty Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Awards, Jessie Richardson Awards, Betty Mitchell Awards and SATAwards  for Outstanding Achievement in Set, Lighting and Costume Design; The Enbridge Award for Best Emerging Artist; The Global Women of Vision Award; Edmonton’s Top 40 Under 40 and was short-listed twice for the Siminovitch Prize.  Bretta designed a summer home on Devil’s Lake, Alberta, and continues her work as an archaeological illustrator.

Paul Morgan Donald - Sound Design
Paul is an Edmonton-based  sound designer, actor and musician. His scores/sound designs include Race & My Name is Rachel Corrie (Theatre Yes), Einstein’s Gift (Citadel Theatre), Songs for Sinners (Catalyst Theatre)   and many productions with the Free Will Shakespeare Festival, including Sterling Award nominated scores for Twelfth Night and As You Like It. Acting roles include Hank Jeeter in The Minor Keys (Acme Theatre),  Hipockets Duncan in Buddy (Mayfield), Sam Byck in Sondheim's Assassins(Studio), and Mr. Muir in Covenant Theatre's production of Kingfisher Days   Paul is the musical director for Die-Nasty (Edmonton's long running improvised soap opera), and musical improviser with Rapid Fire Theatre.


Binaifer Kapadia- Composer
 Binaifer is a Canadian musician and composer who holds numerous credits in theatre, radio drama, and film.  She graduated from the University of Alberta in 1985 with a Bachelor of Music Degree.  She has lived in Edmonton for the past 27 years, working as a teacher, performer, music director and composer.  Binaifer has worked at The Citadel Theatre, Mayfield Dinner Theatre, Theatre Network, Northern Light Theatre, Workshop West Theatre, Free Will Shakespeare Festival, Keyano Theatre, Great West Theatre.  She has been invited in as a guest artist in several Edmonton schools. She has composed music for a number of short films, as well as CBC radio dramas, which have aired on a national level.  Binaifer is a founding member of the original Azimuth Theatre.  She is also the recipient of two Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Awards, co-recipient of a third Sterling award, co-recipient for a Solicitor General of Canada Crime Prevention Special Recognition Award, and a co-nominee for an Ampia Award.



David Ley - Dialect Coach
David Ley is a Professor in the Drama Department at the University of Alberta. He has an MFA from York University and is a graduate of the Studio 58 Acting Program in Vancouver. He has spent ten seasons as a Voice Coach at the Stratford Festival and is a regular teacher in Stratford’s Birmingham Conservatory. He has been featured as a dialect coach in two CBC documentaries on Canadian speech and has taught voice workshops across the country. He has worked as a dialect coach for numerous theatres in Edmonton including: the Citadel Theatre, Theatre Network, Shadow Theatre, and Theatre Yes. He has also worked for over 30 yrs as an actor in theatre, radio, and television. He was last seen as Hrothgar in Workshop West’s production of Beowulf.



                                                      
Annette Loiselle - Playwright, Mary
Annette is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA acting program and has been performing, teaching, directing, producing and more recently writing for theatre for the past 23 years. Annette is an Artistic Associate and founder of the Free Will Shakespeare Festival in Edmonton, having performed in 18 and helping to produce 23 seasons of Shakespeare in the Park. Her favorite roles are Kate in The Taming of the Shrew, Beatrice (Sterling Award Nomination) in Much Ado About Nothing, Olivia in Twelfth Night, Portia in The Merchant of Venice, Hermione in The Winters Tale, Queen Elizabeth in Richard III, Rosalind in As You Like It and Emelia in Othello. She is the Director of Youth Programming for the Festival bringing Camp Shakespeare to the park each summer and Will Power Residencies into the schools. Annette’s other favorite performances include playing in A Christmas Carol and Julius Caesar at the Citadel, Becca in Rabbit Hole for Alberta Theatre Projects in Calgary, Bloody Poetry, Northern Light Theatre (Sterling Award Nomination), The Last Train, Shadow Theatre, Homesick and My One and Only for Workshop West Theatre. Annette is also one of the founders of the new Women’s Arts Festival, SkirtsAfire!, which will make it’s debut in March 2013.



Gina Puntil - Production Stage Manager
Gina is originally from Calgary and has resided in Edmonton for the past twelve years.  Her first theatre home in town was right here at the Roxy with Theatre Network as their production manager for four and half seasons.  Since then she has returned to her first love of stage management for theatre for young audience. “I’m totally in it for the money and fame.  Sarcasm reads in bios, right?”  As much as she loves the realm of TYA, Gina is always delighted when she can venture outside that world.  “How do you say no when you are approached by excellent people to be involved with a cornucopia of creativity.  You don’t.  So, here I am.  How lucky am I!” 

Glenda Stirling - Director

Glenda is the Associate Artistic Director of Lunchbox Theatre in Calgary, and instructor at Mount Royal University.  Recent Directing Credits Include:  The Romeo Initiative, Unity 1918, Rabbit Hole, Vincent in Brixton, Get Away (Alberta Theatre Projects), Jake and the Kid (The Globe Theatre) This Could Be Love, Come Fly With Me, Cheek to Cheek (Lunchbox Theatre), The Mercy Seat, Blue Surge, Evil Dead: The Musical (choreography) (Ground Zero Theatre), Music for Contortionist (Sage Theatre), Lillibet (Ship’s Company Theatre), Wait Until Dark (Vertigo Theatre), and New Canadian Kid (Quest Theatre). Glenda happily spent two seasons at the Shaw Festival, directing, choreographing and assisting.  



Siân Williams – Elizabeth, Darnley, Riccio, Bothwell, Midwife, Wet Nurse
Before becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2007, Siân’s career was in theatre.  She obtained her undergraduate degree in Theatre and Television from King Alfred’s College in England and a graduate degree in Theatre from the University of Alberta.  After finishing her studies, she worked as an actor with such companies as Freewill Shakespeare Festival, Northern Light Theatre, Quest Theatre, and Catalyst, where she originated several roles including Electra in Electra, Girl in The Abundance Trilogy, First Sinner in Songs for Sinners, Barefoot Claire in The Blue Orphan, and Pootsie in The House of Pootsie Plunket, for which she received a Stage Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Actor at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.  This production marks Siân’s first appearance on stage in ten years.  Outside her work as a Chiropractor, Siân also runs marathons and is the mother of a beautiful four-year old boy.
